Members danbronson
I really like the way the controls work. The dry mode (where you pass dry signal and the volume blends in more fuzz signal) is really useful. Tonally, it just doesn't quite do it for me. It's quite muddy sounding by itself. The fuzz isn't very strong/clear sounding, too smooth for me. I wanted something that could get close to the tone from Hysteria by Muse (asking for a lot, I know) but there's just something very different about this fuzz sound. It sounds more like a distortion or overdrive, which is exactly what I didn't want. I recorded a short clip and it really came to life after I threw a multiband compressor on it though. Still no Hysteria tone, but it sounds pretty good I think. I think in the studio, it'll be a good effect to have. Live, I'm not sure. This has a lot of 'studio magic' on it: http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/1395881/Bass%20Big%20Muff%202.mp3
