Members Dark Slide Posted February 28, 2010 Members Share Posted February 28, 2010 ... Just wondering if any of you guys knew anything or had any insight on a cab I have access to for free. I know it's an old Ampeg 4x12 cabinet. But it's bigger than your usual 4x12 cab. I'd say it looks closer to a 6x10, but a bit wider. Obviously not the V4 cab, though I'm planning on matching it up with that head once I get it. It's not rectangular like the V4 cab, either. It has tilt back casters and the back is also slanted at the top where there is a wide bar to hold onto when moving it. Obviously I don't have it here, but I wondered if anyone knew what it was just by the description. I haven't had any luck searching online. My ex bass player used to own it... said he got it from someone years ago and that it had been in their barn for years. I know it needs work. The tolex is completely gone, the casters wheels are gone, the grill and grill frame are fubar... just wondering if anyone knew what it might be and whether or not it would be worth the work.
