Members jokersmile32
the low b on my 5 string is a whole half step off at the 12th frett. ive moved the saddle all the way back, even taking the spring off, but still have the problem. should i try to adjust the truss rod? all the other strings are fine. Moderators Kindness Posted June 13, 2010 Moderators Share Posted June 13, 2010 Don't mess with the truss rod to try to correct intonation issues. The neck either has the appropriate relief or it does not. The problem can be addressed by using another set of strings (or just another low B string). You may want to try a taper core B string which will intonate with the bridge saddle further forward.
