1985 G&L L-1000. Neck is in beautiful condition, body is very clean for being 28 years old. All original hardware. I talked them down from $599 to $430 out the door. This model apparently did not come

with a control plate since there are no screw holes anywhere. I think it gives it a cleaner look. I thought the saddle lock bridge was part plastic but its just metal sprayed with some textured stuff. Very comfortable to rest my hand on. I love the straightforward controls on G&Ls. Vol-Treble boost-Bass boost. 3-way switch for series/split/parallel humbucker. My only gripe is that it seems kinda heavy, I guess they used whatever tonewood was laying around for these early G&Ls. Could be ash, poplar, mahogany, or even maple. Ill just buy a nice, fat strap for her.  So all I need to decide is. . .Flats or Rounds? Half-rounds? Oh and I need to buy a bass amp. .:emoticon-char-017:
