My new band just lost the opportunity to get a Thursday night house gig with a house PA (an unbelievably good one, with a highly skilled and friendly operator to boot). Who did we lose it to? MY OLD BAND. Why? Because my idiot bassist asked for $650. Sonofabitch! It's a {censored}in' Thursday night gig! Ask $450. My old band got it for $400. Since they had asked us first and we tend to be a little bigger of a draw, I'm fairly certain they would have given us the extra $50. BTW, this club also has a microbrewery and a real kitchen serving steaks, pasta, and burgers. The beer and food are free for the band members and their wives. I'm pissed.
