Members 6StringSling
I started a new job 10 weeks ago running a mail inserting machine. Handling paper all day has made my finger tips smoother making my already precarious hold on a pick even worse but what is really becoming a constant problem is that the skin on my finger tips and around the cuticles is constantly dry and cracks easily. I keep a tube of super glue handy for that but I'm curious as to what (if anything) others guitarists/musicians use to keep their finger skin from drying and cracking. Members cooterbrown
Rub Vaseline vigorously into your hands, fingers, nails and cuticles when you go to bed. You can put some old socks over your hands if you're afraid of staining your bedclothes. There's probably a few dirty jokes in that advice, as well. Members chevybusa
If your boss will permit it and your're not allergic, use health care/ food service latex (or vinyl or plastic) gloves at work as much as you can.
Members BlueHeaven
Mitch: Sorry, your seatbelt seems to be broken. What do you recommend I do? Cab Driver: I recommend you stop being such a faggot. You're in the backseat. In the winter my hands get chapped and dried really easily, simple solution is just to use a hand moisturizing lotion. Will make you hands slippery as hell for about an hour and you may feel a little emasculated, but better than dry cracking painful skin.
