Members Black Frog Posted July 21, 2010 Members Share Posted July 21, 2010 We've had quite a good year already, opening up for AC/DC, 38 Special & Skynyrd in the last few months. But now there's a shot for us to open up for the legendary KISS in September! Kiss is choosing regional band to open for them in each of their tour stops. We just need enough people to vote for us to get us in the top FIVE of entered bands for the Milwaukee show. The sponsoring radio stations and the KISS management choose the opening band in each city from the top five for that city. We are entering this contest REALLY late and everyone has had a huge head start on us, but if we get in the top five for Milwaukee we are confident that we would be picked for the gig. So every vote will help us get there- Black Frog is listed in the top 15 now, but moving up as we go.... We don't have to be the #1 vote getter, all we have to do is get in the top five, and I think we have "connections" that can get us the rest of the way after that. We don't have to be #1 in the voting, just in the top FIVE and then KISS decides from there... That is the coolest logo I have seen in a long, long time! Would definitely wear the T-shirt! THANKS! we get lots of compliments on the name and logo, we do pretty well selling t-shirts too... We (the band members) had leather vests made up with a leather logo on the back, and added the leather patch to the backs of our bike jackets. As long there's no rockers and bars- they are cool with it. We play LOTS of bike events throughout the year- we do Sturgis every year, cycle dealership events, Harley 100th and 105th anniversary, state Harley rallies etc... We think midgets are so cool, we always thought it would be the greatest thing to have an all-midget road crew tearing down our gear after a gig. Wouldn't that be awesome?!? mucho thanks people!
