Members Piano Whore
Firstly- the good turnout was NOT because of my band- it was due to the biggest R-neck event of the year (Dixie National Rodeo) taking place, generating lots of out-of-towners looking for a place to party late, which by default is my band's main venue. But we still did good and the new guitar player kicked ASS-buttocks. He did his homework for the newer top 40 songs and thanks to his experience and seasoning (plus that of the band's) the night went very smoothly- very little down-time. And because his timing and groove is tighter than the previous player, the whole band sounded tighter and more in the pocket. Not to rag on the outgoing member, because he does some things very well and graciously offered to sit in Fri night to ease the transition- which worked very well (in spite of being ungodly L-O-U-D).
