I'd make adjustments to the mic placement on your acoustic models via your JTV's tone knob. You can get it a lot more meaty-sounding that way. I've used my O.G. Variax (got it before they started numbering them) on tons of gigs as my go-to acoustic and it always sounded nice and big, and that was with with a 10-46 electric set - the only real drawback to it was that it doesn't really have the same percussive response as a real acoustic.Best of luck!Brian V.
