Members Amory_tarr
How easy would it be to switch out the bulbs/leds/whatever in one of the old Korg DTR1 tuners? So that it would be a red light that strobes when tuning, and the hertz numbers would be lit up in say blue instead of green? and then when the strobe goes to in-tune, it would be blue instead of green again? Possible?

Possible? If you can solder, then it looks pretty easy.
Members Amory_tarr
Well I've never done it before, but it can't be that hard as long as i have the right stuff...but you think it would be possible? Amory
Members EVH Wolfgang
Personally, the level of difficulty is little and I could do it in my sleep. Do you know how to solder? (If you had the tools) If you've never done it, this in not the project for you to try out on.
Members Amory_tarr
I think i could do it, the only thing would be what to replace the green lights with? Are they lit up by bulbs or LED's, or is that the same thing? I'm not too up on the whole electronical language. They wouldn't be specialty items though, they'd be fairly easy to find blue ones of? Thanks,Amory
Members EVH Wolfgang
They are just your regular LED's. You can get them at any electronic stores.

Members Amory_tarr
Would I need 3mm or 5mm LED's? $.30/Each
Members EVH Wolfgang
They should be the 5mm size. That is the most popular one. You should open it up first and check to make sure they didn't use a rectangular shaped one.

Members Amory_tarr
Yeah, it's not the most professional looking thing....I only had a few minutes spare 4th block so i just quickly searched for Blue LED's to get an idea of cost etc... When i do it i'll probably try for a radioshack or something like that around here.
