Members sp_spaceboy Posted February 26, 2004 Members Share Posted February 26, 2004 well, I'll probably explain it really badly, but as far as I understand it, it is thus: I'll assume you're using a preamp effects loop Series means that the entire signal is being sent from the preamp, straight through the effects loop, then out to whatever you've got. I THINK that it basically has the same effect as: Preamp -----> Effects unit ------> Power amp or whatever i'm not 100% sure on that one though. In parallel, however, the signal is split so that some of the signal goes through the loop, through the effects, and some of it just goes straight out as normal. by controlling the mix, you can have no loop signal at all, a little bit, or turn it up full so that it's effectively in series. hence Parallel SEEM, should what I have just said be true, to be better. everyone, please feel free to tear my explanation apart...
