Members bassplayinguy
This is in the effects forum but you guys seem to have more info on it Im looking for a inexpensive, somewhat small sized MIDI controller, ive seen the rocktron, CAE on and the DMC GCpro, what else is there, i dont need expression pedals or anything super fancy [i'm trying to build a lighting rig using a Behringer unit and it is midi compatible, so i need a board to control a 4 channel unit with a few other butons to spare] Keep in mind, low price is a big plus
Members EVH Wolfgang
Do you mean that you just need 4 buttons a few spares? How do you control the lights? Preset Changes or Control Changes? Those are some big factors in which unit will work. There a lot of medium sized or small units that could work. Members EVH Wolfgang
Well, in that case, you've got the Behringer FCB-1010 (I know it has 2 built-in expression pedal but for $140 new, it's hard to pass up) Used: theres the Rocktron MidiMate. That'll give you 10 buttons for PCs Another comparable would be an old DMC Ground Control 1.0 or 2.

Members Cougar Hunter
BOTTOM LINE: ADA MC-1 Or ADA MPC Pluses:Both readily available on ebay and cheap. You also get the full ten buttons per bank on the controller. I love mine. The preset changes are lightning fast and you can use phantom power. Minuses:Both only do MIDI program change. There will be no continuous control or MIDI control function or anything like that.
Members Rufus Leaking
If you want a really cheap 4 button MIDI controller, consider one of these; http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=home/search/detail/base_id/78658 AFAIK it sends program changes 1-4. I've had a hard time finding anyone to confirm this though. If you find out anything let me know!
