Members H535 Posted July 28, 2005 Members Share Posted July 28, 2005 the older 50/50 has 12ax7's. When the 2:50 came out I tried to pin Mesa down as to what was different between the two. Their responce was, nothing in the amp just a cosmetic change to match the 20/20 and 2:90. The 50/50's styling is not all that impressive after all. Great amp though, I love mine.
