Members Soeru Posted March 6, 2007 Members Share Posted March 6, 2007 I have the option of picking up an original GAP 1 for extremely cheap(under 50$). I'm getting one as I want something to play around the house with and possibly slaving an amp to it or using a poweramp with it as a backup rig. I play mostly death metal, not very picky about the tone so long as it's tight, high gain, and has some good EQ versatility. I've heard great things about the Pro Gap but absolutely nothing about the original GAP 1. Are the differences between the GAP 1 and Pro GAP just the lack of MIDI control/presets and the appearance? Or is the sound vastly different? It also has the hush noisegate. I just need to know if it's gonna sound as good as the Pro Gap reviews claims its gonna sound, if so then I'm buyin it. Also btw, is the only difference between the Pro GAP v1 and v2 the fact that you can use the v2 with a 9V AC pedal adaptor? And what is the added feature in the Ultra model? Just curious.
