If I get one of these stereo poweramps, can I use one half of the amp as my main poweramp and the other half as my backup? Or does it not work that way? Only thing is you have to get something with a Bypass on each channel, that way, you can use only 1 channel and leave the other one bypasses/non-functional. The only bad side to that is if your main transformer dies or something happenes to it, then both channels are dead. other wise, its a great idea. Thats how I use my VHT 2502. i use 1 channel and leave the other channel as a backup. hope that helps! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think i got mine for something like $700 including a 6 space SKB. You should be able to find them at the price $650usd and higher.
