Sometimes, Soldanos sound better with the treble at 9 o'clock. also, Bob Bradshaw (who had the idea for the X88R) says to use a post-eq with the x88r. That's why he designed the CAE 3+ to have the active post-eq built-in. with a really good power amp, an x88r should be as good or better than an SLO.
