Members gappa
So, The main power amp I used with my RP 350 died. My back up was ready to go but it seems like there is a problem. My main one was a 2x60 watt SS. So is the newer one. But when I run my 350 direct to it the volume is so low that it is barely audible during band practice. On the other hand if I go into a rack pod pro first it seems to be very loud.Could it be that the amp needs a more powerful pre-amp like the pod? I'm gonna try it again and see if I get the same results. Wierd huh?
Members succubus
I don't know what those abbreviations mean....But does your amp have an attenuator switch?Try that.Otherwise your preamp needs to be turned up some.
Members pfindeis
sounds like your rp350 either died or the output is turned down.Did you try the pod with the broke power amp?
Members gappa
hey guys- thanks for the replies. Actually, Gorgon figured out the problem. The power amp I am using cannot take instrument level signal. It needs a more powerful input signal like from a real preamp. that's why the POD works ok but the RP350 doesn't. So I am using the POD as a clean preamp and running FX through it. Works nifty!
