Members moneyfornothing
Whats a good dual 15 band eq for guitar? Something inexpensive. I am using a POd Pro through a Carvin T-100. I am currently using a GE-7, but need something rackmountable... Thanks
Members cmw
You might consider going with parametric EQ's. I was able to pick up two RANE PE-15's for around $150 on the ebay. I used those to replace my 31 band eq's. Amptone.com would recommend against getting rid of that GE-7 though. They advise both pre and post distortion eq. Members Spacehog26
I'm actually looking at a couple of options for this very thing, the Samson S-Curve 215 and the DBX215, which are both pretty cheap, but only 1U and will do what I need. I won't use them very often, just in the footswitchable loops of my heads for a tonal variation, and I've got pre distortion EQ taken care of as it's built in to my GSP1101. Members Bryan316
I'd also recommend a parametric EQ. Something like a Furman PQ-4 can be found for quite little cash. Lets you dial in the exact frequencies that can cause you problems and fix the Q to what you need to fix it. Like around the 6 to 6.5K range for really noisy Mesa amps that have that harsh ear-fatiguing noisy hiss up in that range.
