Advice on A/B Switching between 2 Pre-Amps

Hola! I want to run 2 Rack mount pre-amps via A/B switching. I've got the wiring idea covered from the A/B box to the Pre-Amp INs, but when it comes to the routing the OUTs, I'm not sure how to link them.

 

So, what I need is:

1. Brand & Model for A/B box or switch

2. How to "wire" the outputs thru to the next unit in signal chain

Buy a loop switcher

Are you wanting to switch via A/B switching or via Midi switching?

No, not Via midi. One of the pre-amps is MIDI capable, but I'm only using it for one setting.

 

What is a loop switcher? I assume its a box to route the IN/OUTs - can you tell me a little more on it?

it seems like most guys around here use the gcx switcher from voodoo lab. rocktron put out a new patchmate recently and rjm music makes the rg16.

Basically it's just a unit with a number of "loops" that can be punched in and out of the signal chain by the use of a midi compatible floorboard
