Members fraillimbnursery
Is there any type of equipment capable of storing different tempos of strobing? Lets say something that can make a strobe light pulse at 50 beats per minute at the push of a button, then at another push of a button make it go 90 BPM, etc. Something that can store like 15 different programs (or more). Is this only in some distant fantasy dream?
Members lordgarak
Strobes are an annoying effect! Almost all lighting boards have the ablity to sync up with the music but you need an operator to tap it in. Just because its running at xx BPM dosn't mean its in sync with the music. And having it going strait so you can follow it would be horriable.

Members Rimmer
Any programmable desk that links via analogue or DMX (digital) could work. All you have to do is program the fader for the strobes as 'ON' in a chase and then make the next chase step 'OFF'. Run the chase and change the speed. Many lighting desks let you save speed for chases. Save a few versions of the chase at different speeds. Steve...R
