Members J Kylez
I am assuming that standard XLR microphone cables should work? Aren't pins 2 and 3 twisted throughout the cable?

Members J Kylez
I've been reading some conflicting statements on this subject in the gear manuals.
Members mitchdoggMDR
well, i guess it depends on what type of cable it is (how its built) the only suggestion i have for you is to try it your self or if you know anyone personaly that knows quite a bit about it ask them. Members J Kylez
I never had the DMX intelligent lights. My stuff was all Microplex. I sold my lighting rig out to my partner and he has added the DMX intelligents. We are just gathering all the info to integrate the new fixtures. Members Rimmer
You could use Mic cable. You can make 3 --> 5 and 5 --> 3 pin jumpers as well. Pins 4 and 5 aren't generally used although some companies throw a voltage down pin 5 from time to time. I think an incarnation of a Whole Hog did at some point. Maybe Cyberlights (from High end) as well. I think the pins are wired, 1 = gnd, 2 = cold, 3 = hot. I would check that out for sure before wiring any up though. XLR speaker cable doesn't work as it's two core..
