Members slystewart Posted April 15, 2004 Members Share Posted April 15, 2004 We are using 5 Martin 518 scanners and 2 Pro 400s as a back lighting system behind the drummer....I have only just got the 518s.On setting up the desk to take the new lights there seems to be a drag on the scanners as you change channels...a delay moving from one position to another using memory settings on the desk, Also do I need to use a dmx terminal plug when using 7 dmx units and could this be the problem thanks Stewart Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Members Zeromus-X Posted April 16, 2004 Members Share Posted April 16, 2004 I've got five hooked up without a terminator and I haven't had a problem. But it's a cheap test. Just go grab a resistor at Radio Shack, stick it in, and see what happens. If it doesn't work, you're out a buck or two at the most. As for the drag, make sure all your DMX units are using as few channels as possible -- i.e. don't have your Pro 400s on the first few channels, and the scanners up in the 100 range or anything.
