Members padudeohio
I have heard that there are "REAL" differences in dependability/reliability/longevity of different lamp manufacturers. Is this one for Mythbusters, or is it a fact that Osram, Phillips, Ushio etc have real differences as in one is better than the others? Thanks. Members BillESC
Hi Mick, There are real differences. The Name Brand bulbs are manufacturered to more exacting tolerences, i.e., pin spacing, color temperature, light center length. For mission critical applications Name Brands are the way to go. That said, the imports can be had for so little money they make sense for effect lighting and other applications where color temperature isn't important.
