Members jdrummys
I was wondering, do those effect lights (ie. moonflower) usually cover the stage as well as the dance floor? I have a really cool sprarkle finish on my drums and want to show it off some. Any particular reccommendations for this?

Me too. Based on my research the better way to go for this is to get 2 lights, and place them on the ground pointing up, at strategic locations by your set. You wouldn't need powerful lights for this, because you just want to build ambience, suttle lighting, etc. On my red sparkle fade, 2 white lights pointing up make the kit look awesome, the cymbals really look good with under lighting. Moonflowers would probably do the job, but also put fx lighting elsewhere around the stage as well.
Members BillESC
Up lighing a drum kit is a perfect application for Chauvet's Colorsplash Jr. fixtures. These small LED fixtures feature link-able AC power as well as DMX making set up quick and neat. They are also quite inexpensive.
