Members ned911
I currently control our light rig (3 Colorstrips, 2 P38's, 3 P64 Leds and 3 Novascans) with my midi pedal that also controls my guitar rig. I'm trying to tie scene/chase changes in LJ with places where I normally change guitar patches during a song. So the question is what should I do for songs that I don't change guitar patches. Should I Stay or Should I Go is a great example - it's just set and forget. So do I go with a solid color for the whole song, constant 4 color change? Members Mbergmueller
I'm not a guitar player but could you duplicate a patch(same sound)different midi no.? Stomp the half time chorus with scanners going? I understand it gets difficult to have too many patches. I trigger keyboard parts from the drums and don't like having to dial up songs all the time. I duplicate my drum settings; one plain, one with samples.
Members ned911
Yeah I thought about that. Trying to not be a slave to the pedal board as I'm afraid it will effect the energy of the show.
Members soundlight
You might try to use a sound-active chase on the Colorstrips that fits with the song. This way it will follow the energy of the song without you having to change things in LJ.
