Members troyri Posted January 12, 2009 Members Share Posted January 12, 2009 Looking to do some side washing, are the MBT LEDBARs comparable to the Chauvet colorstrips? Or should I look at doing multiple 200b's on each side? Small to medium bar stages. I am pretty new in the lighting area so anyother recommedations on sidewash lighting would be appreciated. Members soundlight Posted January 12, 2009 Members Share Posted January 12, 2009 Colorpalettes, one per side. Wide beam spread, large surface area, a lot of LEDs. They're very bright and have a fairly wide (about 32 degrees) beam angle, so they'll be able to cover a lot of the stage. The price you should look for if you get them is $180/ea shipped. If you use the 2 secondary brackets and attach o-clamps to them, you can attach the fixture vertically to a single speaker stand, which would be good for sidelighting.
