Members jwlussow
Just one Polaris? Is there a keyboard player in the group? There are midi plugz that will run lights. The Elation can do what you want. All you need is a lighting guy familiar with the music. Not really sure what you are asking.

Members jwlussow
Are you just the lighting guy or are you playing in the band, too? If you are just running lights, you have everything you need. It just takes some practice but since you are running them all you need to do is set up the scenes so you can move scene to scene easily and be very familiar with the music so you can get the changes made when you want them. It just takes practice.
Members mike510
Im not playing in the band Im just the light man do you think it will be easier with a Midi controller or just the DMX controller?
Members jwlussow
If you are manually running them, just stick with the Elation. The midi helps if you are programming the show and want it to be a little more automated. If I were you, I would just program the scenes and manually jump from scene to scene as required. Members mike510
That is actually what I was doing before I just thought there might be an easier way to do it but if theres not I can always stick with it.
Members jwlussow
Not really without an investment in new gear and a steep learning curve. You can totally automate the system but the programming and timing might be difficult.
