Members cribdog
How do you get that dry megaphone type sound like in "Stacy's Mom"? I'd like to know about this for live performance and for studio work.

Members J Kylez
We use a megaphone. It sounds exactly like it. I think you answered you own question.
Members cribdog
Thanks, I was referring to the vocal parts. What type of megaphone would be used on stage?
Members J Kylez
We use the $40 Radio Shack special. At least I think that's what it cost. It's the mid-sized black one. Set the gain about 1/4 and use to taste. Any more than that and you'll get feedback. Also, works well in:Bush - MachineheadSTP - CrackermanGood Charlotte - Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous
Members J Kylez
Oh yeah almost forgot, it's also great for ordering people around during loud in and load out. It's also fun for ordering drinks when the people are 3 deep at the bar.

Members RickJ
I tried one out at the local Harbor Freight store earlier today. $29.95. Not that I would buy one for anything other than yelling at the riggers.
