Members troyri
Where do you find backing tracks? I am not sure if thats what they are called. The parts in alot of songs that a normal live band cannot do. (Better than ezra - Extra Ordinary) Scratch pads, just basically effects noises. Members rocksld
I've worked with a few bands that had these "backing tracks" One group had sequenced a few samplers with extra back up vocals and one other had actually dubbed only the FX's off of their multitrack recording of their CD, added a click track for the drummer and played the CD through the PA. The Drummer contolled the CD player, listened for the click track started the band and the singer had all of the interesting FX on his voice that he needed. No FX were used on vocals at FOH. I'd never seen anyone do it this way. Nobody could tell it was all from a cd. Unless you're very well rehearsed with this, mistakes can happen very easily and expose what your doing. Timing of your drummer is everything. hope this helps Rocksld
