Members skacore_luke
just got a chance to get one of these a bit cheap and am finding it really hard to get hold of any reviews on the old t'interweb. anyone had a chance to use this for either guitar/percussion/brass/woodwind? i'd be using it for live recording purposes.thanks, Luke! Guest Anonymous
The ATM-63 is one of the better kept great mic secrets. I can't say how it would work for live recordings, but they are a very good drum tom and snare mic (and will take a lot of punishment) as well as being a much better mic than an SM-57 for most anything you'd otherwise use a SM-57 for. I have 4 ea. ATM-63's that I purchased in the late 1980's, which lived through about 10 years of grunge SR work.
