Members MrHotMark
When calculating the volume of a speaker cabinet, does one usually also subtract the volume of the woofer itself and the horn & driver? It does not appear that the volumes of components is typically listed on spec sheets. Or would damping material on all of the inside walls sort of offset this? Opinions please! Thanx! Members OMNIFEX
BassBox Pro, and Eminence Designer, gives you the option to add woofer dimensions when you punch in the TS Parameters. Usually, you'll add more size to the enclosure until you get the desired F3 response. Fiberglass, does give the assumption it (The woofer) is actually sitting in a bigger box. You could use that to compensate woofer, and bracing that takes extra room in the box.
