Members Not Serial
ok. system #1 EV SX500 $699 each *2 = $1400 crown XTi4000 $999 mixwiz 16:2 with grundorf $1385 total: about $3800. ouch. very ouch. this probably wont happen. system #2 yamaha c115v $349 each *2 = $700 crown XLS802 $599 yamaha mg24/14 + grundorf $1125 total: about $2400. this is possible, but i cant do this. those c115v's have no low end whatsoever. if i drop the mixer out of system #1 and continue using my personal mixer its $2400. i already have a grundorf box that the current amps are in (very heavy class AB amps) the thing i like about system #1 is the XTi weighs NOTHING and draws NO POWER. any comments on this amp? i have never used one. in system #2 the XLS weighs a ton, just like the 20 year old amps and draws 1000watts. these prices are the "real" prices the store will give me. they are damn close to internet prices, not sure how they are doing that. Members cooterbrown
Our "small" PA uses the EV Sx100's.They sound great...but...make sure the x-over is set on the high side. They will splat, otherwise, when it starts getting loud.
