Members ned911 Posted August 31, 2006 Members Share Posted August 31, 2006 My band has moved up a level and is now playing much larger venues (and more pay). We are your basic rock/top 40 cover band. Current PA is:FOH - PV SP5's powered by PV2600 (mono), sub Yorkie ES700PMonitor - Carvin 722's powered by Carvin DCM 2000Board - Carvin 16 channel I would like to upgrade mains and I need another sub. After researching I'm really starting to like the JBL SRX (715/718) line for performance and size/weight. Previously I was all set to grab another ES/LS700 and a pair of U15's. For our gigs in late Sept. I definately need another sub. Should I buy a SRX718 and configure FOH like this - 1 side of PV2600 run SP5's other side run SRX718, use ES700P other side of stage. Or rent another LS700P? Next step would either be a 2nd SRX718 or 715's and a new power amp. BTW- venues are 250-300 people. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
