Members jpand2071
Hi all, We had an event last night that involved a few artists that "beatboxed" with the mic. Although these performers were amazing, our mics sounded way different by the end of the night. My hypothesis was that the spit from the beatboxing messed with the mic. Anyone ever deal with a similar situation? Did you just give them crappy mics? We were using B58 SLX systems. Thanks - Joe

Members flanc
I bet some of those Behringer Xm8500 mics would have been just fine (Under $20 each). I'd hate to have my "good" mic's filled with spit (yuk!). It would be nice if artists whose performance involved potentially damaging aspects (copious amounts of spit..ughhh) would bring their own microphones. I mean mics that do not have removable grills. Not mics that are hard to remove the grill.
