Members 2manband
So, I'm in the market for a mixer. I'd like to get something with at least 8 mic preamps, and keep it under $500. I'll be using it for some live sound, some "silent" band practice (i.e. - with headphones), and some recording. Don't need (or expect) pro-level performance for any of these applications - just decent consumer level sound and good reliability. I'm thinking the Soundcraft EPM-12 would be a good solution for me. I can pick one up from PSSL for $370.00. Any other suggestions? Actually, I know what the first suggestion will be - "Save twice as much money and buy an A&H MixWiz." I know, I know. I'd like to get a new unit with warranty tho, and I'm pretty firm on price. Thanks
Members jguitarguy27
I recently purchased the EPM-12 for similar purposes as you...although it stays in the studio more than going live. Best bang for the buck IMHO.
