Members jrm27
Does anyone here use Sennheriser ew300 G1 IEM's? I've got a lead on some for a very decent price and I've just got a few questions about them. I'm concerned about some of the functionality since it is not a G2 unit. Can anyone answer a question or two for me? Thanks!
Members WKG
I haven't used them but I ended up picking up one of these for $695 shipped. http://www.livesoundgear.com/earmonitors/wirelesssystems.html Excellent unit that sounds great, with true diversity, some even prefer them over the G2 Senns. You would still need in-ears though. I'm using mine with a set of Future Sonics.
Members jrm27
How do you think these will compare to your Carvins?
Members WKG
Higher fidelity, extremely quiet in operation and dual diversity. The belt pack is also much slimmer and has a swivel clip which makes it much more convenient in use. The Carvin is very well built and certainly useable and has a ton of features but I just wasn't really settled on it. I ended up sending it back on the 10 day return. The Mipro was a bit more expensive but still within reach.
Members mshifflett
I have five G2 units and one G1 in our IEM rack. The older units works just as well as the newer one. The only drawbacks are that the belt pack is bigger and uses 9 volt batteries, and the input jacks on the transmitter are 1/4" instead of XLR. Otherwise, they are fine.
