Members mdd30 Posted October 13, 2008 Members Share Posted October 13, 2008 I have a couple of Peavey sp2g's, and the horn in one is more prevalent than the other. I switched horns from one speaker to the other, and the problem stayed with the box. I switched cords (I'm running them full range), and the problem was still with the box. I had bought these used, and they worked fine, but we had a Mackie board that had ribbon cable problems (Shortly afterwards we got rid of the Mackie and got a MixWiz). Well, we used the sp2's at practice with that board, and it was popping, and the protection light came on a few times. This was about a year ago, and I didn't notice anything wrong with the speakers until a couple months ago. These speakers get used about once, maybe twice a month. Is it possible the protection bulb needs replaced, or could it be the crossover? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
