Hello!!!

I've had recent luck with my powered peavey mixer! I only run vocals through it, all instruments go through their amps (2 GTR's, bass...classic rock, hard rock) . It sounds great (in my garage, and a few outdoor gigs....small ones). If i'm enjoying it's success, i feel there is no reason for a power amp and mixer, processor, upgrade etc. ,right? i'm using yamaha club series speakers.... it just sounds right. Have i setteled for low quality / easy way out, or have others have success with it?? I've been playing GTR for 20 years, but am new to live sound....major newbie here. I am aware of researching this topic, but i enjoy listening to HC wisdom here!!!! Thanks!

If it suits your needs and it sounds like it does then great! Use it by all means. Powered mixers do have thier applications where they are most efficient and this is one of them. For vocal only it's a win win. For adding subs, mixing guitar/bass etc then realy problems will creap up.
