Members philw44
Picking up a couple of these next week: They have 2 x 15" drivers with an 8" mid plug and 1" comp driver. 1000RMS @ 4Ohms Now, they can either be bi-amped or use the internal crossover. I've never actually Bi-Amped a speaker before so firstly I'm wondering if you would generally consider it worthwhile? If i did go down that route it would cost me a bit of extra cash no doubt. I'd need to get a speaker management system (Probably a used Behringer DCX or Driverack) and have to invest in two amps rather than one. My Single amp choice would most likely be an XTI4000 running 1200w a side @ 4ohm. Any suggestions for the Two amp route welcome. Another thing that is confusing me is on the Spec sheet is that it lists the RMS of the cabinet at 1000RMS when using the passive crossover but at 600W & 150W if Bi-amped. Where does the extra 250W disappear? Spec sheet is pictured below. Cheers
