Members MatthewMachinist
Hi Guys, I am a Bass player but I have been wondering for ages how the tone for this Guitar solo was was created. The album is RHCP's first self titled album, guitarist is Jack Sherman song is Buckle Down, I can remember when I first heard this song in the early 90's wondering how that "saturated" tone was created. This is one of those albums that fills my ears on a Friday night after some Jim Beams, bout time I asked how it was made. Now Sherman was famous for a Tele but I am wondering it is a Les Paul that he actually used to record it? https://www.tdpri.com/threads/jack-sherman-of-the-red-hot-chili-peppers-schecter-tele.939219/ You can hear the solo staring at 1min 22 sec here... Am I hearing a good compressor/sustainer pedal? How would you guys create this tone? This album has always fascinated me due to Sherman being a guitar geek in a non geek band.
