Members Crom5483
I have an ENGL E530 pre amp with a pretty significant electrical hum. It's there without an instrument connected and it is amplified with an increase in volume and is also amplified by an increase in gain either by turning up the gain knob or engaging the high gain button. Using a power conditioner makes no difference and it is not attenuated by the addition of a noise gate/suppressor either. Any suggestions?
Members onelife
does the unit have anything plugged into it that might cause a ground loop or anything plugged into an effects loop or line output? (other than speaker or power amp) what happens if you plug a guitar into it and turn the volume(s) all the way down on the guitar?
