Members CenturyStanding Posted June 20, 2016 Members Posted June 20, 2016 This is a 12", 8 ohm, 100-watt hand-made Scholz Classic Sugarcone speaker. It's no longer in production, and very hard to find, but is considered one of the best guitar speakers ever. The tone is huge and balanced, like an EVM, but with a much more organic sound. Does everything from clean to mean with ease. It's a really special piece of gear. $200.

I've used it in conjunction with a V30 for higher gain stuff, and a Celestion Gold for cleans and leads, and both sounded amazing. You could pretty much use it wherever you'd use an EVM-12L.

It's a very good candidate for it. The Sensitivity sits around 100 dB, which is the same as most modern speakers, so you shouldn't have any volume disparities when mixing. Also, I've responded to your PM. Thanks, James
