Members dr_love6977 Posted October 15, 2015 Members Share Posted October 15, 2015 Hey team... wait I'm not at work anymore... Hey gang, I'm looking into retubing my 5150 III 50 watt. The older I get, the less gain I use, and I'm into single coil guitars nowadays. I ended up getting the EVH, as I was pretty damn impressed with the clean channel and the crunch channel, plus it still has that third channel if I decide to go down the high gain road again. I basically got the amp as a compromise. I I still think the amp has room to be warmer. Does anyone have some tube suggestions? All I can find are threads talking about current production tubes with gain in mind. I did find that people like RFTs in V1, but does anyone have any other suggestions?
