Members Kaffmate
Ive just recently purchased the JBL PRX712's as well. I still have my RCF 522's and still prefer them. I have always found with JBL's, they seem to have this area of volume where the sound is great. But anything below that volume and the sound seems to sit back in the box and any louder and they bark at you. The mids can cut your head off. Has anyone else had this problem.I am also using the JBL PRX718 subs as well. I love them. I used to use the JBL Mpro 418sp powered box and its sister passive box as well which ran off the 418SP. They did have a nice tone but they just lacked the volume and the throw.I do agree with another post here. The handle on these speakers seems to be set up on the wrong side of the box. Members abzurd
I use my RCF522A's as mains most the time and the PRX as monitors. They really cut through and I love them as monitors. The RCFs are just easier to EQ and has better high end so they are what I use as mains.
