Members jeff42
As some of you may know me and the other guys from Ostrich Hat teamed up with guys from another local band to do a 5 man side project aimed at private gigs, weddings and maybe a few better club/ casino gigs. Well here is a rough mix of our audio demo. I put it on youtube for ease of access for you all... After a final mix and some tweaks we will be doing a pro video shoot. Just thought I would toss it out here for some feedback. I put some random stock video behind it so you can look at something while listening. Members STM86
For me, I'd let the guitars come up a bit. Good keys are what can make a good band great, but in this mix I think they are a little more the focus then you'd want/expect from a live band, and I think that leaves things feeling a little sterile. I have the kind of ears that are somewhat particular, but also prone to misidentifying the actual cause of what I'm feeling. Maybe a small reverb on the master would give it a little more live band vibe? This sounds like an idea I would try and then hate. But regardless, most importantly everyone sounds to be dead on. Great work, just my two cents on the mix.
Members jeff42
yes its already going back to be remixed with some more up front guitars and the keys in some places are going to be lowered for starters.
