I uploaded a cover of "All Of Me" by John Legend earlier, and you guys wanted to hear something else than a slow "mainstream" song. So I thought I'd cover Beat This Summer by Brad Paisley. Unfortunately I lost some audio (thanks Garageband...) so I only have the chorus. Please tell me what you think! You intentionally allow a break in register and snap from chest voice directly into head voice and allow a small yodel in the break. It's done for effect and sounds a little like the singer is crying or about to lose it emotionally. It can be overdone, but when done tastefully, it's considered to be an artistic coloration. Although I couldn't' hear this at first, it glares me in the face on "Beat This Summer." Your annunciations are throwing me off and it's because this tune is faster than "All Of Me" that you slowed down. Your voice is clear and natural (in certain spots) which is a plus. However when singing fast lines you struggle to maintain a consistent sound that changes just as often as the words do. Sing from the chest and not your nose.
