Members ckcondon
Asked this in the recording forum, but I thought some of you might have more experience with this board...I'm traveling to play a few shows on an Avid SC48 desk. I don't have Pro Tools on my Macbook Pro, only Garageband and Logic Express. Will either of these see the Avid in order to capture multitrack? Are there any other recording options without PT?Thanks!CC
Members Mogwix
The SC48 can interface with most any DAW, we had ours working with Audition 3 and Cubase. Garageband and Logic Express both have a limited amount of simultaneous inputs and tracks to record with; they want you to buy Logic Pro. However, you may be able to set up an aux to bounce a stereo mix (or your main mix, if you'd like) to record a stereo input into Garageband or Logic. Members ckcondon
Thanks. I've been using a firepod with Gargaband to record 8 tracks at once. If I could get that many, I can get all the instruments and lead vox. I can fly backups in later. We'll see how it works out.
