Alright, sometimes while composing or even while covering a song, any vocalist faces a situation where he/she wants to reach a note or get the hang of melody but drifts aside. 2. Sometimes there is too much of a vibrato and you are not sure what to do about it! Here is a simple techinque which can help solve both the above problems! Record your vocals in DAW. Use a pitch correction plug in. Now dont be lazy and auto tune it. Manually correct wherever required. Once the notes are in key, for problem 1 move the vocal pieces around different notes. See what matches. Once you reach a satisfactory place save it and practice singing that. Change the melody slightly for your comfort. Coz if you cant reproduce it live you wont be seen as a good vocalist. For problem 2 straighten out the wave of the vocal piece. This is kinda easy. Once that is done just like prob 1 listen to it and practice! This method could be helpful for more problems i guess. But its definitely been helpful for me Feel free to share your views as well!
