Members wheresgrant3
I'm trying to show a friends a view of my desktop. Any idea how to capture that image and send it as a viewable file?

Members wheresgrant3
oops... tried that a few times but it didn't work. I'm using a Logitech keyboard (although that shouldn't matter). Is there a way in windows to create the screen shot?
Members Puta
it should work that way!
Members powerpop
Alt + Print Screen. Copy into the paint program. You may also need to click somewhere on the desktop with your mouse to make the desktop the 'active' window.
Members the_resonator
alt+print screen, then paste into whatever you have as far as image program goes. When you press the alt+PS, there will be nothing noticable happening, the only way to know what you got is to paste it into something. should work on any PC with windows after 91 or so... Members scubyfan
Alt+Print Screen is good for when you want to take a screen shot of a specific program and not your whole desktop. Clicking on the desktop and using Alt+Print Screen will result in the task bar being copied. Print Screen (without the alt) takes a snapshot of the entire desktop, regardless of what is active or inactive: what you see when you press it will be exactly the image copied. And as others have said, you can paste it into nearly all image editing dealie programs and modify, save, etc.
