Members jaisonbaker
I Have a pair of Peavey SP 118 Subs. Now, these are NOT very heavy at all, but they do come with a built in 500 watt power amp in each cabinet. They are the newer model and are loaded with 18" black widow. 118 per cab with a 500 watt amp to push it in each cab. I want 700.00 for the pair. I think they are great. Thank you, -Jaisonjaisonbaker@hotmail.com
Members gregterryguitar
Thanks, but at 97 lbs for the passive version (Musicians Friend, I couldn't find any active) that's about twice the weight I'm looking for!!
Members picksix
I have a Yamaha S118IV. Not sure how heavy exactly but I can lift it up onto a pickup truck by myself and I'm only 5'5", 155 lbs. If I had to guess I would say it's probably about 50 or 60 lbs tops. Also has casters. 500 program/1000 peak watts, passive. 4 years old. $300.
Members Harmonycat
I have a great pair of 6th order bandpass subs rated 700 rms each. They are only 65 lbs each. They are custom made by Audio Hardware in Toronto. You will need an amp of about 400 to 500 per channel into 8 ohms. They perform better than EV 181 or Yorkville LS700P. I live in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.
